Aqueon Filters
Aqueon is a brand owned by Central Garden and Pet. The are based in Franklin WI and sell a range of products from aquariums and aquarium starter kits, to aquarium heating and lighting, all the way to fish food and a range of aquarium filters. In particular Aqueon filters include Quietflow internal power filters and Quietflow canister filters. An Aqueon Filter makes for a great addition to many aquariums.

The Aqueon QuietFlow Internal Power Filter range is a great place to start for 10, 15, 30 and 40 gallon fish tanks. These Aqueon filters are fully submersible and have a 3 stage filtration process. This filtering process removes debris, toxins and water discoloration. Importantly it also removes ammonia and nitrates that can be lethal to aquarium fish using Aqueon’s BioGrid functionality.
For simplicity, the Aqueon Quietflow Internal Power filters are self priming and can be installed either horizontally or vertically. They also come with the filtration cartridges already installed. Replacement cartridges are available for purchase. Overall the series not only supplies great filtration but also is easy to set up and maintain.

These Aqueon filters are designed to be hung on the rim of the fish tank and can be attached with either clips or suction cups. Aqueon QuietFlow E Internal Power filters provide a 3 stage filtration system. This filtering process removes debris, toxins and water discoloration. Importantly it also removes ammonia and nitrates that can be lethal to aquarium fish. It should be noted that the 3 gallon fish tank filter provides only chemical filtration (and not the biological or mechanical filtration).
For simplicity, the Aqueon Quietflow E Internal Power filters do not require priming and will automatically restart in the event of the power source to the filter being interrupted. Replacement cartridges are available for purchase all of the filter sizes. Overall the series provides great filtration and is economical in doing so.

The filter works efficiently and is very well priced. We recommend using the suction cups rather than the clips as we found this to provide quieter operation. The one down side to this is that the filter will be obvious within your tank (and the 40 gallon filter isn’t small…).
