The JAJALE 175 gallon fish tank and stand is a high quality unit. It adds a great spectacle to either your home or office and allows you to keep a wide variety of interesting fish.
One thing is for sure – this 175 gallon aquarium is robust:
- It is made of high strength, tempered glass
- The surface is hard and cannot be easily scratched or marked
- It is reinforced with an aluminium frame. Not only does this add strength, but it is also resistant to corrosion – particularly important if you are planning to create a 100 gallon saltwater aquarium.
The aquarium comes with a LED lighting source as well as a filter system, filter media and a water pump. The only thing you’ll likely need to add is a heater and the substrate of your choice. And some plants or an aquarium shipwreck should you so desire.
This aquarium isn’t cheap. But we believe it is of very high quality, and is certainly built to last. A great option if you are looking for an 175 gallon fish tank centerpiece for your home or office.
200 Gallon Fish Tank Stands
200 gallon fish tanks usually measure 72″ x 18″ x 30. This equates to 183 x 46 x 76 cm in metric measurements. At this size you need to think carefully about what you are going to keep your tank on. Either you need to choose a good quality stand, or consider JAJALE’s high quality built in unit
How Many Fish Can You Add?
The general rule for fish tanks is that you should have a maximum of 1 inch of fish (length) for every gallon of water. Some people extend this to to 1.5 inches with success, but it is not generally recommended. Bear in mind that the 1 inch of fish per gallon of water is based on the fish at their fully grown size, not the size that you buy them at!
It is therefore recommended that you have a maximum of 200 inches of fish in a 200 gallon fish tank. If 200 gallons is a little much for you consider either a 100 gallon or 150 gallon fish tank.
Best Fish for 200 Gallon Fish Tank
As discussed above, it is best to limit your fish to about 200 inches in total length when constructing a 200 gallon fish tank. Whether you plan to breed fish, and indeed whether you are prepared to use dividers in your 200 gallon fish tank, will also affect the composition of fish in your tank.
It is important to bear in mind that more aggressive species such as Tiger Barbs will be better served in less crowded tanks. Just remember that just because a fish is aggressive doesn’t mean that it is predatory. Your best fish for 200 gallon fish tanks could include:
- Cory fish (catfish)
- Rainbow fish
- Danios
- Goldfish
- Guppies
200 Gallon Fish Tank Dimensions
The standard dimensions of a 200 gallon fish tank are 72″ x 18″ x 30″. This equates to 183 x 46 x 76 cm in metric measurements. These aquariums provide plenty of space for a range of fish. There are limited specialized stands available for 200 gallon tanks. They can look great, however, on top of sturdy desks, cabinets and counter tops.
When full these tanks will weight approximately two tons (approximately 900kg). At this size it is definitely worth considering using a hang on back protein skimmer for your tank.
