Known for their good quality aquarium products, Aqueon’s aquarium sealant does the job well. It is easy to apply using a silicone gun. Once applied (and dry) it forms a high strength silicone seal that does a great job stopping leaks in your aquarium. It also doesn’t crack or become brittle, leading to extra leaks!

This aquarium safe silicone has a 100% silicone composition, This means that it is not toxic and will not poison your fish or other tank inhabitants – a fish safe silicone.

When you are opening the bottle you will need to pierce seal completely or the sealant will not come out. The seal does a great job of keeping the silicone moist – you just have to get through it in order to start using the bottle! A spare piece of will will do the job nicely.

Don’t be put off by the vinegar smell of the sealant – this is normal. The smell will go away once you have allowed the silicone enough time to dry. Overall a decent fish safe silicone.

A two pack of clear aquarium silicone. Each tube contains 10.3 Oz of silicone. It should be applied using a gun. On paper it should be a good option for those needing to make substantial restorations to their tank. Some users have, however, found that the silicone was dried out within the tube. Perhaps not the best option, especially if you are in a rush and need to get it right first time.

This aquarium safe silicone is a good silicone for fish tanks.
